NYC ComicCon!

I'll be at the Top Shelf booth (#1620) at the NYC Comic Con this weekend (Feb 6-8).
Stop by if you are in the area. I will have original art from some of the first two Korgi books and will have copies of Book 1 and 2 available.

It's been a few years since Ann and I have been in good old New York! It will be a short trip, but hopefully lots of fun!

Korgi Book 2 and Baltimore ComicCon

Korgi Book 2 is finally out in the world! In the photo are some of the copies we received modeled by Mr. Lee himself! Of course work is never done as you can see in the photo of my art desk this week. Here we've got the first rough drawings going for Korgi Book 3 as well as an acrylic painting in progress. This painting is one of many I will be bringing to this year's Pembroke National Specialty in Georgia this Novemeber.

Ann and I will be signing copies of Korgi at the Baltimore ComicCon September 27-28. Stop by the Top Shelf Productions booth and say hi! We will also have original art from the books there as well. Hope to see you there!

Twins and Corgis

Summer was very hot down here in Florida and very busy. The twins, Kate and Nate, are getting along just fine with the corgis, Penny and Leo. At first the corgis were a little reserved of the twins, but they've finally come around and have started to count them as part of the pack, (especially now that we've moved onto solid foods! Oatmeal ...mmmmmm!)

My wife and my family were nice enough to handle the twinfants while I attended San Diego Comicon this summer. Thanks to everyone for stopping by and picking up the book. It was great meeting readers of Korgi and seeing their faces as they flipped through it. I am excited to have the next one out there soon!

Korgi Book Two Cover

This is the rough cover drawing for the next Korgi Book.
It is looking really good. At this time, over a dozen pages are finished. The story will continue with Ivy and Sprout but will also introduce a few new characters to the world of Korgi.

Welcome!

There is a shelf in my studio that collects all the sketchbooks I finish. There are well over 50 the last time I counted. Eventually, I began binding the sketchbooks myself to include the paper I preferred at the proportions I wanted. In one of the first of these self-bound books, are these drawings. I thought it would be appropriate to begin this blog's first post with the first drawings I ever did of Sprout and Ivy.
