Finally, an update!

Hello everyone! It's been quite a stretch since my last post. I apologize. Also I wanted to Thank everyone for all of the great emails I have received about the Korgi series and my Welsh Corgi related artwork. It's always great hearing from you!

2009 was very busy and we had a tough summer as our oldest girl, Penny went through surgery and radiation for an aggressive cancer that she was diagnosed with. She recovered well and we are waiting to see how everything worked out. Her doctors have been impressed with her stamina and she is getting the best care possible. Penny is my first Welsh Corgi that I have raised from a puppy and my first dog. She just turned 10 last November. Needless to say, it has been an emotional year but it has made me appreciate all the great things in life including the time I still have with Penny and my other corgi, Leo. I have posted a painting of her I completed this summer.

"Where is Korgi Book3?" I get this question alot! Well, here is a cover image for Book 3 and we have a release date set for later this year. You can Pre-Order the book now over at Top Shelf's website.

I have lots of great things in the works and can't wait to share them with everyone! Til then, keep reading and Bark on!

Hi Christian, I just want to let you know how much I adore the Korgi books. I met you a few years ago at the Orlando Megacon (2004 or 2005 maybe) and left with a signed copy of the first Korgi, anxiously waiting for more. In 2007 my own Welsh Corgi, Faye, was diagnosed with cancer. She was only 4 years old. Your beautiful artwork in the Korgi books has really helped me through the loss of Faye. I am so glad that your Penny is doing well with her treatment. I hope that you have many more happy years with her. I have dreams of making my own graphic novels. Thank you for being both an inspiration and proof that people are interested in adorable animal comics.

Hi Christian,

I just discovered "Korgi"! Your illustrations are beautiful and truly capture the personality of the "Korgi" With the recent death of Tasha Tudor, I am happy to see that another artist is able to depict these wonderful creatures so accurately!

Hi Christian,

I'm a follower of your Korgi work. I have book 1 and 2 for our baby son. We also have a corgi named Milo who is 4 years old now.

I hope Penny is doing very well and she is very lucky to have you as a family! I understand the intense bond and friendship we have with our corgis as they are truly special.

I cannot wait for book 3 - I love the illustrations and how well you depict corgis.

I know you don't post often but hopefully you will post more in 2010.

Best wishes!

Hi Christian:
Found your Korgi Book 1 sitting on top of a book filing cart at a Washington DC public library yesterday. I adore Corgies and your drawing are wonderful. You know about the Tasha Tudor corgie stories and drawings I presume (Corgiville Fair, etc.) I do hope you daughter is recovering well and that your Corgies are cheering you all on. Keep on drawing!
