Hello! To simplify things, I have decided to consolidate my two separate websites and blogs into one. Please check out my new website www.christianslade.com There is also a blog there that will cover all news in the world of Korgi as it is published. I am currently working on books 4-6. The best is yet to come. Thanks so much, Christian

Korgi 3 is out in stores!!

Hi everyone! Yes, Korgi 3 has finally made it out into the world. Clocking in at 112 pages, this is the biggest book yet! It also features a map of the lands of Korgi and expanded character biographies. This book is a big accomplishment for me as it was completed during the first few years of being a father of twins. Life has never been fuller between a full time career as an illustrator, being a dad, a husband, and making time for my passion project, Korgi.

At this point I have this storyline running to 8 books and have the remaining story plotted out. Believe me when I say, the best is still yet to come!

Thank You to everyone who continues to follow my work and to those who have just discovered Korgi. I apologize for the large time period between blog posts, but I remain as dedicated to this wordless epic as ever before.

I'm looking forward to sharing more with everyone in the future.
Enjoy life and thanks for checking in!

Korgi Book 3 is done!

Finally! It's been a long haul but at last it's finished. Clocking in at well over 100 pages is Korgi Book 3. The picture above is the neat pile of final art for the book. On top is the gratitude page and under that sticking out the side is Wart's introduction.

The book will be getting designed and then sent to the printer. It should be in stores this summer. I am looking forward to planning out my convention schedule as well. I'll be posting info on that soon.

Happy Holidays!!

I hope everyone is doing well this holiday season. It has been a very busy year. I appreciate all the nice emails I've received and I do apologize for the delay of Korgi 3. However, Korgi 3 will be released in 2011. I'll be sure to post more info when I have it. At this point I only have a handful of pages left. This is a big book and I want to do it right, and that takes time.

Happy holidays from our family to yours and see you in 2011!

Finally, an update!

Hello everyone! It's been quite a stretch since my last post. I apologize. Also I wanted to Thank everyone for all of the great emails I have received about the Korgi series and my Welsh Corgi related artwork. It's always great hearing from you!

2009 was very busy and we had a tough summer as our oldest girl, Penny went through surgery and radiation for an aggressive cancer that she was diagnosed with. She recovered well and we are waiting to see how everything worked out. Her doctors have been impressed with her stamina and she is getting the best care possible. Penny is my first Welsh Corgi that I have raised from a puppy and my first dog. She just turned 10 last November. Needless to say, it has been an emotional year but it has made me appreciate all the great things in life including the time I still have with Penny and my other corgi, Leo. I have posted a painting of her I completed this summer.

"Where is Korgi Book3?" I get this question alot! Well, here is a cover image for Book 3 and we have a release date set for later this year. You can Pre-Order the book now over at Top Shelf's website.

I have lots of great things in the works and can't wait to share them with everyone! Til then, keep reading and Bark on!

It's been a few years since Ann and I have been in good old New York! It will be a short trip, but hopefully lots of fun!

This painting is one of many I will be bringing to this year's Pembroke National Specialty in Georgia this Novemeber.

Ann and I will be signing copies of Korgi at the Baltimore ComicCon September 27-28. Stop by the Top Shelf Productions booth and say hi! We will also have original art from the books there as well. Hope to see you there!
